SG-1 splits the beam of silver atoms into two exits and a blocker stops one of them, so only z+ passes. The last device measures the same axis z again. Since z+ is an eigenstate of this axis, every atom gives z+ and no atom reaches the z− exit (the dashed "No z−" line).
