Long-range quantum key distribution (QKD).

Quantum key distribution is used to establish completely secure communication between sender and receiver. The common goal of different protocols is to achieve a higher secure key rate over a longer distance. This distance is limited due to the drop in communication channels and the impossibility of having a complete quantum amplifier. In this talk, the evolution of different protocols to overcome this limitation is examined and the independent protocols of MDI and Twin Field measurement devices, which currently have the most range, are explained.
